Ensuring a
Safe & Secure City:

In Wichita Falls, safety is paramount. As your representative, I am committed to:

  • Supporting First Responders: Our brave first responders and those who stand beside them deserve unwavering support. When we dial 9-11, it doesn't matter who we are, our beliefs, or our affiliations. These men and women answer the call, putting their lives on the line for our community. It's imperative that we ensure they are not only supported but also fairly compensated. This commitment is crucial to attracting and retaining the best individuals to safeguard our city.

  • Water Security: Our climate poses challenges to an infinite water supply. To secure our water resources for the future, we must make tough decisions. The current discourse around water management prompts questions – is maintenance the answer, or do we need a new reservoir? I pledge to approach these decisions diligently, relying on the latest information and facts. I will seek insights from diverse perspectives, consulting experts, and working towards solutions that are both affordable and future-focused. Together, we'll ensure a resilient and secure water future for Wichita Falls.

A Place Our Young People Don't Want To Leave:

In envisioning Wichita Falls, I propose a firm goal – a city where our young people choose to stay. Too often, we witness our children grow up, attend our schools and universities, and then venture elsewhere. It's time to shift our mindset and create countless opportunities for early-career individuals, fostering a community that not only meets but exceeds their future needs. Let's stem the outflow of our youth and construct a city where the next generation can thrive and proudly call Wichita Falls their forever home.

Part of this vision involves a vibrant Downtown. Close your eyes and reflect on downtown a decade ago. Can you recall the transformation to what it is today? I vividly remember one of the first post-Covid Art Walks, where families of all ages filled the streets. It was truly remarkable. While acknowledging our progress, we must also recognize the potential for more. As a community, we must continue supporting downtown businesses, many of them small. These establishments, offering diverse dining and entertainment options, contribute to downtown's allure for locals, college students, Sheppard personnel, and potential new businesses considering Wichita Falls as their home. Despite the strides we've made, there's room for more growth. Let's keep pushing forward, ensuring our downtown remains a vibrant hub for all.

Preserving Our Strengths:

  • Sheppard Air Force Base: Serving as the primary economic engine for our region, Sheppard Air Force Base is a cornerstone of Wichita Falls. I am committed to working tirelessly, hand in hand with others, to preserve its current stature and explore new opportunities as they arise.

  • Business Community: Our local industries and small businesses form the backbone of Wichita Falls' success. I pledge to foster and enhance the city's relationships with these enterprises, recognizing their vital role in our community's prosperity. When prospective businesses consider relocation, they should see Wichita Falls as a place with a robust support system for growth and a true sense of community.

  • Education Community: Education is the foundation of a thriving community. I am dedicated to supporting new initiatives within our school system, at MSU, and at Vernon College. By investing in education, we not only provide opportunities for our local youth but also attract young talent looking to continue their education. Additionally, our educational institutions play a crucial role as major employers, continually bringing fresh talent to our community.

Let's build on our strengths and continue to make Wichita Falls a place where growth aligns with our unique identity, creating a vibrant and inclusive community for all. Join me in shaping the future of Wichita Falls!
